Born and raised on the island of Manhattan, Melissa Braverman is a true New York City gal. This blog chronicles her shared adventures of life as a Big Apple native turned Floridian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from NYC, Melissa\u2019s most long standing love affair has been with the written word. An avid diarist since the age of 7, she is currently on handwritten volume #108. In 2023, Melissa released an expanded edition of her memoir Notes from A Single Gal In The City: Reflections on Dating & Mating<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>inspired by her critically acclaimed blog. The book has a five-star rating on Amazon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has been quoted in the Associated Press, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post, Time Out New York, Good Housekeeping and Latina Magazine as well as on Glamour.com and Today.com. Melissa has appeared on The Gayle King Show on OWN, The Dr. Oz Show, KTLA-TV Los Angeles\u2019 Morning Show, Fox Atlanta\u2019s Good Day X-tra, KWGN-TV Denver\u2019s Everyday Show, Fox Cleveland\u2019s Robin Swoboda Show and The Locher Room on YouTube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melissa is currently at work on a second book. She is married to journalist and Stuck in the \u201980s<\/em><\/a> podcast host\/creator Steve Spears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
